SEO Guides for Florists
Fourteen guides on getting a flower shop found, built from a 10,003 keyword pull. Ordered the way we actually work a florist account rather than by which occasion sounds biggest.
These guides explain how flower shops get found. If you read one thing, read the complete guide. Then read the relay networks guide, because a large share of the results for your own town belong to businesses that do not make flowers. Once you can see how the work is done, we do it for you.
The Complete Guide to SEO for Florists
The whole picture in one place. Why a shop window plus an Instagram account are no longer enough on their own, how Google decides which three florists to show, what the work costs, how long it takes, how to work out the return, how the website should be built, sustainability content plus where florist campaigns go wrong. Read this first, then take the guides below.
Where To Start
These three decide whether the rest of the work has anywhere to land. One covers who is actually taking the searches meant for your shop. One covers when each page has to be live, which in this trade matters more than in any other we work in. One covers the channel most florists are already pouring their best work into.
None of them is an occasion page. All three change the order everything else gets built in.
The Everyday Trade
No peak, no season, somebody every single day. Between them these three carry 137,430 monthly searches, which is more than every calendar peak in the trade added together.
Funerals are the pick of them. Difficulty 25 on real volume, which is the softest ground in the whole dataset outside Christmas, plus the order is frequently placed by a relative in another city who has never been to your town.
The Peaks
Christmas is the surprise here. Difficulty 23 across wreaths, table arrangements, garlands plus workshops, which is the cheapest occasion ground in the trade, on a longer selling window than any other peak.
Valentine's is the opposite. It shows 2,510 in the data plus that figure is an artefact of averaging a single day across twelve months. Read its card, then read the note underneath, because it is the number most likely to make somebody under-invest in your best week of the year.
Why Valentine's looks small. These are twelve month averages. A term searched tens of thousands of times in one February week plus almost never otherwise averages down to a small monthly figure. Any agency reading this dataset flat will under-invest in your most profitable week. We build from your own trading pattern instead.
The Bookings Worth Most
Small numbers on this list plus the highest value work in the shop. A wedding is worth many times an average order. A corporate account signed in March is still paying in December.
All three are also decided slowly, over weeks or months, on your portfolio rather than on your delivery cut-off. That makes them the opposite of everything in the everyday group plus it is why they need their own pages rather than a mention.
Proof
Flowers are bought with the eyes. This guide carries almost no direct search demand of its own, plus it earns its place because image results appear on 738,000 of these searches a month plus because a wedding enquiry is won on photographs rather than paragraphs.
