SEO for Therapists

£350per month, everything included

We fill private practices by getting the right clients to find you, working inside your professional code rather than around it. Your listing, your accreditation, your approach plus a page for every specialism you offer. All of it handled by us.

Updates every 3 weeks

You did not train for years to spend your evenings learning search engines. We handle your Google listing, your accreditation pages, the technical condition of your website, a page for every specialism you work with, your social accounts plus the website itself, all on one monthly fee with nothing billed separately. One number to ring, one invoice, plus an agency that understands your professional code rather than asking you to bend it.

Fourteen workstreams, all inside one monthly fee

How Our Service Works

Most agencies sell a therapist some blog posts plus a monthly report. Content is one card on this list. Everything below runs on your account from the first month, plus none of it is charged as an extra.

01Where Local Enquiries Start

Google Business Profile And Maps

Primary category corrected, every specialism listed individually rather than as Counselling, service area or practice address set up properly, opening hours plus availability accurate. Set up badly this removes you from local results entirely, which we see on a large share of the practices we audit.

02Within Your Code

Reviews And Social Proof, Handled Properly

Your professional body restricts how client feedback can be used, which most agencies either ignore or use as an excuse to do nothing. We build what is permitted: third party verification, supervisor and peer credibility, professional memberships plus feedback gathered in ways your code allows.

03Consistency Signals

Citations And Directory Clean-Up

Your name, qualifications plus practice details consistent across every professional directory and listing that carries them. Old practice addresses, lapsed listings plus duplicate profiles corrected, since inconsistency quietly holds back everything else.

04Every Quarter, Without Asking

Full Technical Site Audit

Crawl errors, broken links, redirect chains, duplicate titles, missing headings plus anything stopping Google reading your site. Run every three months then fixed rather than reported, because emailing a therapist a technical list is not a service.

05Read On A Phone, Late

Speed, Mobile And Discretion

Your site is frequently read on a phone, late at night, by somebody who does not want it in their history. We compress everything, fix layout shift, make contact reachable with a thumb plus keep the enquiry route quiet and simple.

06Your Field Is Held To A Higher Bar

Credentials And Accreditation Pages

Accreditation, registration, training, supervision plus insurance given real pages rather than logos in a footer. Search engines apply extra scrutiny to health and wellbeing content, which makes verifiable credentials a ranking asset rather than just a reassurance.

0742% Of Demand Shows An AI Answer

Schema Markup And AI Optimisation

Your specialisms, qualifications, fees plus availability structured so search engines and AI assistants read them as facts. A higher share of therapy searches returns an AI answer than any sector we have measured, so being the source those answers draw on matters here more than anywhere.

08The Architecture

Internal Linking Structure

Specialism pages linked to a hub, the hub linked back to your practice page, related pages linked to each other plus everything pointing authority where it earns. Costs nothing, entirely within our control plus neglected on nearly every therapy website we audit.

09The Content Layer

A Page For Every Specialism

The modalities you practise plus the issues you work with, each given a real page rather than a line on a list. Written factually, without clinical claims, because a page that overpromises is a page your professional body would take issue with.

10The Conversion Is You

Your About And Approach Pages

In almost no other profession is the practitioner the product this directly. Somebody chooses a therapist on whether they feel they could talk to them, so we write your approach, your training plus what a first session is actually like as the conversion pages they are.

11Fixing What Is Already There

Rebuilding Pages That Do Not Rank

Every site arrives with pages earning nothing. We identify them, then rewrite, merge or redirect rather than leaving dead weight in place. Frequently the fastest gain available in your first quarter.

12Included, Not Extra

Website Management And Development

We build the pages, make the changes plus look after the site. No waiting on a web person, no change request sitting in a queue plus no invoice when you add a specialism and need a new page. If the site needs work, the work is inside the fee.

13Two Posts A Week

Social Media Management

Facebook, Instagram plus LinkedIn managed rather than abandoned, with content that stays inside your code and never uses a client's story. LinkedIn matters more than most therapists expect, particularly for corporate and employee wellbeing work.

14You Always Know

Reporting And Contact Every Three Weeks

A written update every three weeks covering what has been done plus what is next, a full audit every quarter plus monthly reporting on positions, local visibility and enquiries. No wondering what you are paying for.

One fee, no add-ons, nothing billed separately. Larger plans widen the area plus the volume of work rather than unlocking things you should have had from the start.

The reason most agencies get this sector wrong

We Work Inside Your Professional Code

Marketing a therapy practice is not like marketing a trade. You are bound by a code of ethics, your advertising is subject to standards on health claims plus your registration can be affected by how you present your work. Most agencies have never read any of it.

What that means in practice. No claims to cure, fix or guarantee an outcome. No success rates you cannot evidence. Client feedback used only in the ways your professional body permits, which is considerably narrower than the review-farming most local SEO agencies sell. No client story used as marketing material, ever, however anonymised it looks.

The part therapists do not expect. Working inside those constraints produces better search results rather than worse ones. Search engines apply extra scrutiny to health and wellbeing content, so verifiable credentials, clear qualifications, named training plus factual descriptions of what you actually do are exactly what gets rewarded. The agency that would have written you a page promising to cure anxiety in six weeks was going to cost you rankings as well as a complaint.

And one thing we will not do at any price. We do not target crisis searches. People in acute distress need emergency and crisis services, not a private practice with a three week wait. Those terms are stripped out of every plan we build before anybody sets a target, plus we would rather lose the pitch than argue about it.

Where the local demand sits, plus what the numbers really say

Who Is Looking For You

Before we quote anybody we pull the demand for their own area. Below are the 85 places carrying 100 monthly searches or more, from Brighton at 5,730 downwards.

Read this before you read the table, because therapy geography behaves differently to every other sector we work in. London takes 45,660 of the 99,570 place-name searches, which is 46% and why it sits outside the table. More importantly, most people looking for a therapist do not type a town at all. They type therapist near me, plus that group alone carries 112,590 monthly searches, more than every place name in the country combined. So your local visibility is won in the map results rather than through town pages.

Two things follow from that. First, the average difficulty across the towns that do register is 21, with some close to open ground: Horsham at 4, Plymouth and Watford at 9, Telford at 10. Your own area is genuinely winnable. Second, online delivery changes the arithmetic completely, since online and remote therapy terms carry 36,960 monthly searches and are not tied to where you sit. If you work online you are not limited to this table at all.

Rounded monthly UK volumes for therapy and counselling terms carrying each place name, from a 10,003 term pull. Other professions using the word therapist, NHS and free provision, national directories, careers and training searches plus overseas terms are all stripped out first. A further 56 places carry smaller volumes, so if yours is not listed we will pull it for you free.

The Specialisms We Build For

Almost nobody searches for a therapist in the abstract. They search the thing they are struggling with. Some search the approach somebody has recommended to them. Each one gets its own page written for that person. Here is what we build plus the demand behind it, so you can see where we would start on your account.

We would not build all sixteen at once. On your account we map these against the work you are actually trained for plus want more of, then start where the demand and the difficulty justify it. On most practices that means the listing, then online delivery, fees plus one or two specialisms you genuinely lead on.

Nearly half the raw data is not your client

Where We Will Not Spend Your Money

The raw keyword file for your profession shows 1,557,450 monthly searches. Nearly half of it belongs to somebody else, plus this sector has the worst contamination problem we have measured.

The biggest single issue is the word therapist itself. 3,181 terms carrying 348,800 monthly searches belong to entirely different professions: occupational therapists, massage therapists, physiotherapists plus speech and language therapists. A counsellor or psychotherapist cannot service a single one of them. An agency quoting you a market of one and a half million searches has counted all of it.

Then there is NHS and free provision, which a private practice cannot compete for and should not try. National directories and professional bodies, where you are not going to outrank the organisation you are registered with. Careers and training searches from people who want to become a therapist rather than see one.

Plus the exclusion we make on principle. Crisis and self-harm searches come out before anything is planned. They are a small number of terms, they are not commercially interesting anyway plus they belong to emergency services rather than to a private practice. We do not build for them.

A Different Profession Entirely

Getting Started

STEP 01

We audit everything, free

Your site, your listing, your directory entries plus where you sit locally today. Then we pull the data for your area and strip out the other professions, the NHS terms plus the careers searches before anybody sets a target.

STEP 02

We agree what your code allows

A short conversation about your professional body, how feedback can be used plus what claims are off limits. Getting this right at the start is why our pages do not have to be rewritten later.

STEP 03

We fix the listing, then build the site out

Profile, categories plus directory consistency first, then the technical work, your accreditation pages, your About and approach, plus a page for each specialism in the order the demand justifies.

STEP 04

We keep at it, plus you always know

An update every three weeks, a full audit every quarter, monthly reporting plus calls to action added to pages as they start ranking. Nothing here is a one-off project.

What would it take to cover the fee

Run The Arithmetic

Drag the sliders to your own numbers. Use the value of a whole client rather than one session, since most clients stay for a course of work. This is a rough illustration to think with, not a promise of results.

SEO for therapists, answered

Frequently Asked

What exactly do I get for £350 a month?
Fourteen workstreams, all of them. Google Business Profile and Maps, reviews and social proof handled within your code, directory clean-up, a full technical site audit every quarter, speed and mobile work, credential and accreditation pages, schema markup and AI optimisation, internal linking, a page for every specialism, your About and approach pages, rebuilding pages that earn nothing, website management and development, social media on two posts a week plus a written update every three weeks with monthly reporting. No setup fee plus nothing billed separately.
Will you ask me to do anything my professional body would object to?
No. We agree what your code allows before a word is written. That means no claims to cure or guarantee an outcome, no success rates that cannot be evidenced, no client story used as marketing material plus client feedback used only in the ways your body permits. Working inside those limits actually helps, because search engines apply extra scrutiny to health and wellbeing content and reward verifiable credentials over promises.
Is this just blog posts?
No, plus content is one of the fourteen. Local therapy enquiries are largely settled in the Google map results before anybody reaches a website, so the work starts with your listing, your categories, your specialisms and your directory consistency. Your website then does the job the map cannot, which in this profession means your accreditation, your approach plus a real page for each specialism you work with.
I work online. Does local SEO still apply to me?
It applies less, plus something better applies instead. Online and remote therapy terms carry 36,960 monthly searches and are not tied to where you sit, so an online practice competes nationally rather than locally. That is a bigger market with different competition, plus it is the main reason our Growth and National plans exist. If you work both ways we build the local visibility plus the online reach side by side.
Which specialisms would you build for first on my account?
We decide that from your own data and your actual training rather than a template. The pattern is usually the listing first, then your fees page at a difficulty of 18, then online delivery if you offer it, then one or two specialisms you genuinely lead on. Trauma at a difficulty of 23 and EMDR at 16 are the softest ground in the profession, so if either is yours we would move on it early. We would not build a page for work you are not trained for.
Do you target people in crisis?
No, plus we will not. People in acute distress need emergency and crisis services rather than a private practice with a waiting list. Those searches are stripped out of every plan we build before anybody sets a target. It is a small number of terms plus it is the right call regardless of what it costs us.
