Fourteen Months of SEO for a UK Vape Retailer
Juicy Vapes sells e-liquids and vape kits across the UK. Paid advertising is closed off to the sector, so search is one of the few channels left open. Between January 2025 and February 2026 estimated organic traffic went from 355 a month to 35,427.
The Results
At the start of January 2025 juicyvapes.co.uk was on an estimated 355 organic visits a month and 1,233 ranking keywords. By the end of February 2026 that had reached 35,427 visits and 10,002 keywords.

Ranking keywords
Figures are taken from Semrush for the juicyvapes.co.uk domain in the UK database, plotted from daily readings between 1 January 2025 and 28 February 2026. Organic traffic in Semrush is an estimate based on ranking positions and search volumes rather than a count of visits. Paid traffic across the whole period reads zero.
The Starting Point
Juicy Vapes already had a working shop online and a couple of hundred visits a month coming in. The site ranked for around 1,200 keywords, which for a retailer carrying hundreds of products is very little. Most of those rankings were for the brands and product names it already sold.
Vaping is a difficult sector to market. The usual paid routes are closed off, which leaves organic search doing the work that advertising does elsewhere.
That puts all the pressure on the site itself. If the pages do not rank, nothing else picks up the slack.
What We Did
The same process we run for every client, applied to a shop rather than a service business.
Site audit
We audited the website first, so the work started from what the site actually had rather than what it was assumed to have.
Keyword research and topical clusters
We mapped what people search for around e-liquids, kits and flavours, then grouped those searches into clusters. Each cluster has a page for the category, a hub page for the subject and informational pages beneath it.
Informational pages
We published pages answering the questions people ask before they buy. Pages like these bring people to a shop who are not yet searching for a brand by name.
Schema and internal linking
Every page carries structured data and links to the others in its cluster, to its hub page and to the category page it supports. That tells search engines what the shop sells and how its pages relate to each other.
Category and product pages
The pages that sell were treated as landing pages in their own right rather than as a list of products, with the informational pages above them pointing customers down towards them.
Audits every three months
The site was audited every three months across the campaign. Pages that ranked were given clear calls to action. Pages that did not rank were rebuilt rather than left sitting there.
What the Chart Shows
Nothing moved for the first three months. The climb starts in April 2025 and carries on through the rest of the year, then flattens out over the winter before a final push in the new year.
Keywords rose fast to the summer, dropped back through July and August, then climbed again to just over 10,000 by the end of the campaign. Positions move around. A site ranking for thousands of terms will always gain some and lose some from one week to the next.
The figures quoted on this page are the readings on the last day of the campaign rather than the highest points on the charts.
