Twenty Months of Local SEO for a London Tattoo Studio
OSCO London had a domain with no organic search presence at all when we started in November 2024. By the end of June 2026 the site was pulling an estimated 119,295 organic visits a month. The studio has since asked us to do the same for their jewellery business.

Ranking keywords
Figures are taken from Semrush for the oscolondon.studio domain, plotted from daily readings between 1 November 2024 and 30 June 2026. Organic traffic in Semrush is an estimate based on ranking positions and search volumes rather than a count of visits.
The Starting Point
London is about as hard as local search gets. A tattoo studio there is not competing with a handful of businesses in one town. It is competing with hundreds of studios, every one of them after the same customers.
OSCO came to us with a domain that had no organic presence whatsoever. No traffic, no rankings and nothing for Google to go on.
The agreement was rolling, month to month, with no minimum term. That means the work had to keep earning its place every single month.
What We Did
This is the same local SEO process we run for every client, including the Bedford accountancy practice in our other case study. The sector changes. The method does not.
Site audit
We audited the website and the Google Business Profile before touching anything, so the work started with what the site actually had rather than what it was assumed to have.
Keyword research and topical clusters
We mapped what people search for around tattoos and studios in London, then grouped those searches into clusters. Each cluster has a landing page for the service, a hub page for the subject and informational pages beneath it.
Informational pages
We published pages answering the questions people ask long before they book anything. Pages like these bring people to a site who are not yet searching for a studio by name.
Schema and internal linking
Every page carries structured data and links to the others in its cluster, to its hub page and to the landing page it supports. That tells search engines what the studio does, where it does it and how the pages relate to each other.
Google Maps
The Google Business Profile was optimised alongside the website, with the categories, services and business details matched to what the site says.
Audits every three months
The site was audited every three months across the twenty months. Pages that ranked were given clear calls to action. Pages that did not rank were rebuilt rather than left sitting there.
Where It Ended
The tattoo studio campaign finished in June 2026 having run for twenty months on a rolling monthly agreement.
We are now running the same work for the owners' jewellery business. Twenty months of month to month renewals, followed by a second brief, says more about the work than any number on this page.
